The 6-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith has followed in her mother’s footsteps as a model for Guess.
The brand that catapulted Smith to fame — she was relatively unknown until her denim-wear campaign ran in the 1990s — has recruited her daughter Dannielynn Birkhead as the face of the new spring Guess Kids ad campaign.
Dannielynn's father Larry Birkhead said his daughter had posed for a one-time tribute campaign to her mother, who died in 2007 from a prescription drug overdose. All proceeds from the ads will be set aside in a fund for Dannielynn, Birkhead told the "Today" show.
The campaign was shot in Malibu, Calif., and also stars Peyton Edmunds, the daughter of R&B star Babyface. Guess Inc.’s creative director Paul Marciano said Dannielynn had the "same playful spirit" as Smith had on set, the AP reported.
The ads are set to premiere on buses and billboards in mid-January.
