Forty-three firefighters worked for a half hour to extinguish a house fire and save a Silver Lake family’s valuables early Sunday morning, firefighters said.
When firefighters arrived at the 1300 block of Maltman Ave. at around 4:35 a.m., the flames were extending from the home’s second floor into the attic, according to tweets from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The total value of the damage has yet to be determined, the tweets said, though some valuables and recording equipment were saved. The family was able to evacuate the house and no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
