A man was found dead in the Los Angeles River early Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Division.
At approximately 2:45 a.m., a homeless individual alerted authorities of a body found in the river by Figueroa Street and Avenue 19 in Elysian Park. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the call.
The man died at the scene. A cause of death has not been determined and the man's identity has not been released.
