A fire scorched about seven acres of brush in rugged terrain near Tujunga but no structures were threatened.
The blaze was reported shortly before 11 a.m near the 7600 block of Alpine Way, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A mutual-aid response involving ground and air crews included personnel from the Los Angeles city and county fire departments, the Angeles National Forest and the Glendale Fire Department. No injuries were reported.
