A burned body was found Tuesday night in the Lake Los Angeles area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The body was reported around 10:30 p.m. in a home near the remote area of 210th Street East and Avenue O, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities said the victim was a woman in her 70s who fell into a fire pit and burned to death.
Deputies were alerted by a relative to the home where she was found.
Authorities did not have any further information regarding the discovery at the time.
