The driver of a gray Mercedes led officers on a chase from Inglewood to the Kern County area Wednesday afternoon.
The chase began around 3 p.m. Wednesday in Inglewood and ended in Mettler two hours later.
The driver was initially wanted for vandalizing a hotel room, according to CHP.
CHP officers were forced to pull off of the chase at one point due to a dust storm in the area.
The man was taken into custody around 5 p.m. at a gas station in Mettler, about 92 miles north of where the pursuit began in Inglewood.
