Problems went from bad to worse Monday morning in the Cahuenga Pass between Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley.
A water main break in the area caused a sinkhole in a residential neighborhood. The sinkhole was reported Sunday night in the 3400 block of Cahuenga Boulevard West, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
There were no injuries or evacuations. Details on the size of the water main and number of customers affected were not available.
The water resulted in a large sinkhole, about the size of a minivan. One lane was blocked as crews worked on repairs.
