Fire damaged a Ladera Heights church Saturday morning.
The blaze at St. Mary's Ethiopian Orthodox Church at 5707 Shenandoah Ave. was reported at 2:29 a.m., Los Angeles County fire dipatcher Ed Pickett said.
"A knockdown was called at 2:54 a.m., and there were no injuries," Pickett said.
The fire apparently started in the rear of the church.
Culver City firefighters assisted county crews, according to a videographer at the scene. How the fire started was not immediately known.
