Two people were hospitalized with hypothermia after being rescued when their boat capsized off the coast of Port Hueneme on Sunday morning, U.S. Coast Guard officials said.
Coast Guard rescuers responded with a helicopter about 7:40 a.m. to a report about an overturned boat, according to Petty Officer Andrea Anderson. When the crew arrived, the boat was already partially submerged.
The crew found the victims, and then airlifted them to Point Mugu for medical treatment, Anderson said.
It was unclear why the 14-foot boat overturned.
