One man and two women were injured Thursday night after a fistfight ended with a stabbing in Altadena, officials said.
The fight was reported about 8:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of Raymond Avenue, according to the LA County Sheriff's Department Altadena Station.
A 21-year-old man tried to intervene when a woman ran up to his 19-year-old girlfriend as they stood outside, officials told NBC4. The women began fistfighting.
The man's mother told NBC4 her son ran home covered in blood after being stabbed in the torso.
"Two girls got into it, from my understanding, and they had broken it up," April Anderson said. "And she seemed to be bitter and came back with a knife.
"She had intentions because she left the altercation, and then my understanding is that she came back with a knife and stabbed my son first and then went for his girlfriend," Anderson said.
Two victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
