Stripper Arrested in West Hollywood Firebombing

Samantha Marie Scarano faces an attempted murder charge in the firebombing of her ex-roommate's apartment unit

A 25-year-old stripper was arrested in connection with the March 4 firebombing of her ex-roommate's apartment unit in West Hollywood.

Samantha Marie Scarano was being held at the Los Angeles County Jail with bail set at $1.3 million. She faces an attempted murder charge when she appears in a Beverly Hills courtroom, set for March 26.

She's accused of breaking a window of a top-floor unit at the Sweetzer Avenue apartment while her ex-roommate was inside and throwing in an open container of charcoal lighter fluid with a burning object, possibly paper, officials said.

No one was hurt in the 1:52 a.m. fire, but about 100 people were evacuated. The fire was put out in 20 minutes.

Officials believe the firebombing was the result of a dispute between the ex-roommates.

The WeHo Daily reported that Scarano was arrested at The Body Shop, a strip club, where she worked. Someone tipped off police that she was performing there.

The LA Weekly reported that Scarano was the daughter of anti-crime activist, Erika Scarano.
