A fire at an industrial building in North Hollywood sent clouds of smoke into a nearby residential neighborhood Monday night.
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded to flames towering over the building in the 11000 block of Weddington Street around 11:15 p.m.
According to LAFD, the building was inaccessible for a while because of a bolted chain link fence and heavy mteal doors. Firefighters used rotary saws to gain entry and a hose line to extinguish the flames.
The fire was put out in 40 minutes.
There was no one in the building, but it was full of combustibles, according to LAFD.
The cause is under investigation.
