A fire broke out Thursday afternoon at an oil refinery in Carson.
The fire at the Phillips 66 facility at 1520 E. Sepulveda Blvd. was reported to the Los Angeles County Fire Department about 4:55 p.m. County fire crews were dispatched to assist the facility's firefighters, a dispatcher said.
Reports from the scene showed firefighters pouring water on the persistent flames.
The fire department reported at 7:20 p.m. that the fire had been extinguished and no injuries were reported.
"Air quality is being continuously monitored with all reports normal," according to the department tweet.
