Firefighters put out a structure fire Wednesday morning that engulfed a tire business in Gardena and caused the structure to collapse.

The fire was reported around 2:20 a.m. at Berendo Avenue and W. Gardena Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Firefighters knocked down the 2-alarm fire around 3:07 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Fire officials said the firefighters were able to prevent the blaze from extending to neighboring businesses.

No injuries were reported.
