Businesses were deemed unsafe to enter Tuesday after an early morning fire burned a Pico Rivera strip mall.
The two-alarm fire was reported around 4:23 a.m. in the 4500 block of Rosemead Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Four of six stores at the strip mall were red-tagged, meaning they are not safe to enter.
It was unknown where the fire originated, firefighters said. The fire is not considered suspicious, fire investigators said Tuesday morning.
"It was a very labor intesnive fire due to the age of the building and type of structure," said Los Angeles County Fire Department Deputy Chief David Richardson.
No injuries were reported.
