Crews attacked a fire at a plaza in Glendale Monday morning, authorities said.
The blaze broke out at 621 East Glenoaks Blvd. (map), a plaza which houses a deli, cleaners and a pizza restaurant.
The Glendale Fire Department reported in a tweet about 10:10 a.m. that firefighters were on scene. Within an hour, the flames appeared under control as smoke billowed the smouldering plaza.
Glenoaks Boulevard between Geneva and Jackson streets are expected to be closed until 2 p.m., the fire department said in a tweet.
