Firefighters discovered a deceased body inside of a home in Fullerton after an early morning blaze Friday, authorities said.
The body was found around 1 a.m. after firefighters responded to a fire in the 800 block of North El Dorado Drive, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and found the victim, a man believed to be the homeowner, police said.
Firefighters said the fire appeared to have been contained within the bedroom.
Police confirmed the victim's wife had recently moved into a nursing home and was not at the residence at the time of the fire.
The victim was not identified.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
