A fire that appeared to begin in an RV parked in a lot behind a South Los Angeles residence spread Wednesday morning to a nearby house.
The fire was reported in the 400 block of East 25th Street. Firefighters were on the roof of the house and cut holes in the roof to ventilate the fire. The fire was confined to the attic of the home and scorched the trailer and backyard debris.
The fire sent thick smoke above the neighborhood and also burned a car parked next to the RV.
Firefighters declared a knockdown at about 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. At least three people were displaced by the fire.
