An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.6 was reported Thursday morning in southern Riverside County. The quake occurred at about 6:30 a.m. five miles southeast of Temecula.
Several NBC LA Facebook page visitors commented on the quake. Shaking was reported in Temecula and to the southeast at nearby Pechanga Resort and Casino.
"It started shaking, loud rumbling, and I thought OMG that's loud, then it kept going," wrote Shannan Buffolino, of Temecula.
"We live right up the street from Great Oak High School," wrote Cheryl Browne Bell. "Maybe the magnitude was 3.6, but it felt like a 6. That was the biggest jolt I have ever gotten from my morning coffee."
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
