An SUV suspected of being involved in a shooting Friday night crashed into two vehicles on the 101 Freeway, police said.
Police received a report of shots fired from a black SUV just before 10 p.m. in North Hollywood. Officers later saw a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle and a car chase began, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police pursued the SUV onto the southbound 101 Freeway where it struck two vehicles and crashed at Melrose Avenue, according to the LAPD.
Police said three occupants were inside the SUV and suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to a hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
Police closed three lanes on the 101 Freeway near Melrose Avenue during the investigation. The lanes were reopened just before 1 a.m., according to the LAPD.
