A transgender woman was in stable condition after she was shot early Friday morning in Orange County, police said.
The shooting was reported around 3 a.m. near 17th Street and Harbor Boulevard in Garden Grove, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The victim stumbled into a gas station wounded and a clerk called 911. The victim told detectives she was shot near the 1100 block of Harbor Boulevard, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The woman was transported to a hospital where she was in stable condition.
No arrests were reported.
Police said they have not determined whether the shooting was a hate crime.
