Police and firefighters responded to the Boyle Heights area to investigate the death of a man in front of a youth center, the Los Angeles Police Department said Tuesday.
The death investigation was underway in the 2000 block of East 1st Street before 5 p.m.
Investigators were called to the area in front of the Hollenbeck Youth Center.
LA City Fire officials said they were called to the area for a "person down," but did not have any additional details.
LAPD said the death appeared to be from natural causes.
