A speeding motorcyclist and the driver of a Honda sedan were killed in a collision in Tarzana after the motorcyclist slammed into the car and went through its window, officials said.
Investigators were on scene of the deadly crash that occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday at Collins Street and Reseda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The wreck closed the intersection through early Monday while investigators looked into what caused the crash.
Police said the motorcyclist, identified by the coroner as Sergio Olaguez, 30, of Tarzana, was going at a "high rate of speed" when it slammed into the driver's side window of the Accord.
The impact of the crash launched the motorcyclist into the Honda Accord as its driver was making a left turn, and the motorcycle landed about 50 feet away.
"The motorcyclist went through the window of the driver side door, impacting the driver, and coming to rest on the passenger side," LAPD Detective Bill Bustos said.
Both Olaguez and the Honda driver, a 60-year-old woman, died at the scene, police said.

This was the second fatal motorcycle crash where speed was a factor in the area in three days, Bustos said.
