Celebrating its 35th birthday in 2015, Foothill Unity Center is the primary provider of food, case management/crisis help, and access to health care resources across 11 San Gabriel Valley cities: Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Arcadia, Monrovia, Bradbury, Duarte, Azusa, Baldwin Park and Irwindale. 79% of its clients are at or below the National Poverty Level.
Thanksgiving is an especially difficult holiday for families who are struggling to survive. Each year, Foothill Unity Center partners with the community to send over 1,000 pre-registered families home with bountiful food boxes sized for their families, containing all the makings for a festive Thanksgiving dinner. The experience of sharing this meal in their own homes is something they wouldn’t otherwise be able to enjoy. To volunteer, click here.
