Kids in the Spotlight helps foster kids and other underserved youth ages 11-17 heal and grow by training them to create, write, cast and star in their own 10-minute short films. We run 10 week programs at group foster homes teaching underserved children how to tell their stories as a Screen Plays. We then we bring in professional crews and produce their short films. At the end of every season, we host a Film Festival (Our Oscars) where each of the films produced during the year are screened and awards are given to the children.
We need entertainment industry professionals with a passion for helping at-risk children and teens to volunteer in the production of films written by foster kids. To volunteer, click here.
