Those places that may see a drop in business or attendance due to the weekend-long closure of the 405 Freeway have been a lot of minds, and they've certainly been at the top of mind for those people who own the businesses and shops being impacted.

People-dependent places are getting creative, though, and props to cities like Santa Monica that have been detailing ways to save money and spend time during the closure.
Now another 405-close place has jumped into the Carmageddon pool, and we're very happy to see it there. It's the Hammer Museum, and its Westwood location puts it just about two pinches away from the nearest 405 on-ramp. (Two pinches=several dozen yards or so.) So, yeah. It'll be impacted.
With that in mind, the museum is waiving admission all weekend. That's right. Pay nothing to get in on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17. That's a nice way to say, "yeah, it's all a bit headache-y right now, so let's chill out and look at some paintings, as a non-ticket-buying, non-stressing-together community."
There's a bus stop right in front of the Hammer, too. Easy-peasy to get to, pretty much.
