“LA is a lover that will make you leave your wife.” –Dessert Dressed In Lights, Porcelain
Australian-born and LA-based band Porcelain look like angels, yet vocally bring deep pure rock.
Mesmerizing, emotional and dynamic, Porcelain hit one of their last LA club dates -- the Key Club on Saturday night -- before going homebound and proving they are a truly original band with amazing stage presence.
Reminiscent of super LA bands from yesteryear, their sound is based on the dynamic vocals of female lead singer Lo Roberts, guitarist Ben Richards, violinist Asha Mevlana, rhythm section, bass Ewen Penberthy-Groves and Blake Paulson on drums.
Porcelain was formed just outside of Sydney, Australia, by songwriting duo Lo and Ben. After fleshing out their outfit to a five-piece lineup, Porcelain rose to the top of their local scene, winning a MusicOz Award and later gaining a spot on the M-One tour with the Goo Goo Dolls, Simple Plan, Nickelback and Lifehouse.
Porcelain signed with Wizard, an independent label and relocated to Los Angeles. After sustaining residencies at multiple venues including the Viper Room, the band began to develop their live shows and local fan-base.
Porcelain signed directly to Universal/Motown while remaining with Wizard in their homeland.
