Two men charged with murder and other crimes pleaded not guilty Thursday in the shooting death of 37-year-old actor Johnny Wactor during a catalytic converter theft in downtown Los Angeles.

On Aug. 15, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested four gang members connected to the death of “General Hospital” star Johnny Wactor. He was fatally shot back in May by a man who authorities claim was attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter.

Family and friends of Johnny Wactor will gather Monday hours before charges are expected to be filed against four suspects in the 37-year-old actor’s shooting death in downtown Los Angeles.

Catalytic converter thieves, one of whom appeared to be armed with a handgun, were captured on a Gardena home’s security camera as they jacked up a car in the driveway.

The late Johnny Wactor starred as Brando Corbin on “General Hospital” in more than 160 episodes. He left the soap opera in 2022 and had since been working on other productions while bartending at night, until 11 days ago, when he was tragically killed by thieves attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter.

As Johnny Wactor’s friends mourn his death, some of his friends said they were feeling angry about the tragedy.
