An Indigenous Tale Teaches Kids About Environmental Issues

In their new children’s book “The Whale Child”, co-authors & co-illustrators Keith and Chenoa Egawa pass along #indigenous teachings from their elders to introduce future generations to environmental issues facing the planet. “As Native people, we know that we are the caretakers of the earth but we’re living in a time now where we ALL need to be the caretakers of the earth,” says Chenoa Egawa of their mission to share the environmental wisdom of their culture.
