Try San Francisco's newest burger joint with Filipino Flair

California Live’s Jobeth Devera is in SoMa at the Metron, visiting the newest restaurant called Izzy & Wooks. The co-owners, Manuel and Cheryl Ramirez, a husband-and-wife duo who are also longtime restaurateurs are finally opening a concept true to their own roots and visions. Named after their special needs daughter, Izzy, and their bulldog, Wooks, Izzy & Wooks feels like a homecoming for the both of them. On the menu are twists of familiar classics like the Izzy Truff Smash featuring smashed burger patties with a decidedly Filipino twist: banana ketchup onions.
