12/7: Jeff Bridges Talks “Crazy Heart”

Two stars talk "Crazy" at LACMA.

"CRAZY HEART" SCREENING: So many good things are packed into this soon-to-debut Fox Searchlight Picture we're inclined to rattle 'em off right now. Jeff Bridges. Maggie Gyllenhaal. Music by T Bone Burnett. A country singer who's been through a few rounds. A Southwest setting. Mr. Bridges and Ms. Gyllenhaal will be at LACMA to do a Q&A following their film, which starts at 7:30PM.

TWO BY BLAKE EDWARDS: "The Pink Panther Strikes Again" and that "Bolero"'d-out beach fantasia "10" (since Bo Derek often, and rightly, gets attention for this film, we'll pause here and remember Dudley Moore). "Panther" starts at 7:30PM at the New Beverly. Clouseauian trench coat optional.

WESTMINSTER TREE LIGHTING: The words "tree lighting" piqued our holiday-based interest, as did the notion of the community sing. Also nice: They'll be collecting canned goods at the ceremony. It starts at 6PM at the Civic Center.
