Cinnamon Roll French Toast: Winter's just weeks away. Weather's turning. This breakfast takes one warm-the-cockles foodstuff -- the cinnamon roll -- and does a mouthwatering mash-up with another warm-the-cockler cuisine -- French toast.
Where might it be? The Beachcomber Cafe at Malibu Pier
Is it part of a special event? Yes indeedy. The Beachcomber is hosting a Toys for Tots morning on Saturday, December 5th from 7-10AM. Diners are invited to bring a toy -- unwrapped, of course -- to the restaurant. The toy should be over ten dollars. And then, after the toy donating, the diner will get treated to a comp breakfast, courtesy of The Beachcomber.

Is coffee or tea included? Yes.
Is it one breakfast per one person donating a toy? Yes. So don't be tempted to round up everyone you know and expect French Toasts for the whole table. A better idea: ask your friends to each buy a toy, and then join you.
