NBC4 Southern California is sponsoring the inaugural American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Los Angeles at Nokia Plaza on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Join NBC4 Reporter Lolita Lopez who will emcee and officially kick-off the walk.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events enable the American Cancer Society to support groundbreaking research to understand, prevent, find, and treat breast cancer; provide comprehensive support to patients, survivors, and caregivers; ensure access to mammograms for women who need them; and raise awareness about the importance of prevention.
As a breast cancer survivor, Lolita has shared her own challenges with breast cancer during treatment and recovery with a series of NBC4 stories on her courageous fight against the disease as a working mother and wife.
