Mix and Be Merry at The Ball

Jewish singles hobnob in Hollywood on December 24th.

Put on your most gorgeous get-up and get up to Hollywood as The Ball rolls for 2009 on Thursday, December 24. An annual spectacular held every Christmas Eve in cities across the nation (and now the world), The Ball is all about helping Jewish singles meet up, dance, network, share some laughs and maybe make a lasting connection.

Thousands of attendees have been recorded at some of The Balls, so this is big, very big. Factor in all the fun parts -- potential romance or friendship, the holidays, smiling people grooving and gabbing -- and you've got a truly nice moment in a season of nice. And best of all, 50 percent of the evening's net proceeds will go to assisting The Guardians of Los Angeles Jewish Home, a wonderful thing indeed.

We love the sense of humor the backers of The Ball -- they promise that the music will be amazing, but not so loud no one can talk (which is, after all, one of the goals of the event) -- and the overall style. An au courant and celebratory vibe, trendy DJs spinning get-on-the-dance-floor tunes, a lively Tinseltown setting, and cute singles everywhere all looking their best (meaning there is a dress code; check out the site to see if your suit is meets the swanky specs). The party is on...

Tickets are $30, time's from 9PM-2AM, location is Opera and Crimson at 1650 Schrader Boulevard.
