A three-day, citywide event called "Strength and Love" is honoring the 26,661 people who have died from COVID-19 in LA County.
It was created to not only remember lives lost to COVID-19, but also to honor essential workers and health care workers.
Places like LA City Hall, the LA Public Library and LAX turned on blue lights to honor them.
