With the recent opening of Broome St. General Store, Silver Lake gained a throwback to your old-timey neighborhood general store. The patio-centric cafe/retail fusion serves Gimme Coffee and goodies from Heirloom LA, Cake Monkey and Valerie Confections, plus gourmet pantry goods, kitchenwares, sundries, men's and women's furnishings, jewelry and vintage finds. We stopped by the new hang-for-hours outpost to get a feel for what's on the shelves.
