Traffic on the 10 Freeway was backed up for miles due to damage to a bridge in Colton Wednesday Oct. 26, 2016.
A damaged bridge led authorities to close part of the 10 Freeway Wednesday morning in San Bernardino County.
The westbound side of the freeway, closed at Pepper Avenue in Colton, reopened at about 1:30 p.m. Traffic was backed up for miles in the area.
A forklift caused the damage when it struck part of the wood structure that temporarily supports the bridge, which is under construction.
