Two people were killed in a multiple-vehicle crash on the northbound Harbor 110 Freeway, prompting a closure, authorities said Monday.
It was reported at 11:26 p.m. Sunday near Slauson Avenue, said California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
A witness told the CHP it appeared one vehicle was split in half, Kravig said.
The ages and genders of the deceased, and whether they were in the same vehicle, were not available.
A SigAlert was issued at 11:51 p.m. for all northbound lanes of the 110 Freeway at Slauson Avenue except the HOV lanes, she said.
The lanes were set to reopen shortly after 5 a.m.
