Lockdown Lifted After Threat Report at Allesandro Elementary School

The school lockdown Tuesday came about one month after the campus received another threat report that led to a police investigation

An elementary school that was the subject of a threat report last month was locked down Tuesday morning for a police investigation after a caller reported two gunmen on campus.

The lockdown at Allesandro Elementary School in the Silver Lake area was lifted at about 9:30 a.m. Officers searched classrooms, but authorities said there was no evidence of a credible threat to school safety.

The 911 call was received from the same disconnected phone involved in at least three threat reports at the school since the beginning of the school year, Los Angeles police told NBC4. Disconnected cell phones can be used to call 911, the LAPD added.

The school in the 2200 block of Riverside Drive also was locked down in mid-August after a threat report. Police found no evidence to substantiate the threat report.
