Two Los Angeles men dubbed the "Cowboy Gun Bandits" who used a large-caliber revolver in at least eight robberies across Southern and Central California were captured Thursday, FBI officials said.

Dominic Dorsey, 46, and Reginald Bailey, 69, are accused of robbing six gas stations, a Papa John’s Pizza and a Citibank branch from which they escaped with more than $50,000 between September and October 2013, according to the FBI Los Angeles Division.
After watching surveillance video of the robberies, investigators noticed one of the robbers was missing part of his left ring finger and later tracked down Bailey.
Dorsey and Bailey were named in a federal grand jury indictment on June 5 and apprehended by FBI agents and the Los Angeles Police Department.
Each robbery carries a maximum of 20 years in federal prison, and gun violations carry a potential life sentences under the Hobbs Act.
