On Saturday, an infant was attacked by dogs on the 14400 block of Benefit Street in Sherman Oaks and transported to the hospital in critical condition. Later, the three-month old baby died in what investigators are calling a tragic accident.
A family member rushed the infant to the hospital at approximately 3:30 p.m. with critical injuries. Unfortunately, the little baby girl died later in the evening.
LAPD said they were still trying to determine which of the three dogs attacked the infant, though they do not believe the incident occurred due to any negligence. All three dogs were taken into custody by Animal Control officers.

Police say that Animal Control will determine which dog attacked the infant and make a determination on whether that animal needs to be put down.
