Light shaking was reported overnight when an earthquake rattled Long Beach and Los Angeles' South Bay area.
The magnitude-2.5 quake at about 3:30 a.m. was centered in Carson with a depth of about 7 miles. Shaking was reported in Long Beach, Torrance, Compton and other southern Los Angeles County communities.
