Coroner: Death After Cop Confrontation Ruled Homicide

The Ventura County medical examiner’s office ruled the death of an Oxnard man who died after an encounter with police as a homicide. Oxnard police called Robert Ramirez’ death an accident, but now the Ramirez family is calling for an independent investigation. “I’m going to stand up and I’m going to speak up until my son’s killer is brought to justice,” says mother Teresa Ramirez.
