At around 4 a.m. Sunday morning, a crash on the 22 Freeway in Orange County near Valley View street caused both sides of the road to be shut down.
A USPS semi truck collided with a Honda that was driving eastbound on the 22 Freeway and then veered off the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the United States Postal Service big rig was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CHP.
Mail packages were seen all over the freeway.
The 26-year-old driver of the Honda was taken into custody for DUI, according to the CHP.
Both sides of the 22 Freeway in Orange County East of Valley View between Springdale and Valley View are closed. It is not confirmed when it will be open.
