Two Rescued in Van Nuys Apartment Complex Fire

Almost 100 firefighters battled flames and evacuated residents from an apartment building in Van Nuys after a fire broke out inside a unit. Gordon Tokumatsu reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.

Two people were rescued Wednesday morning during a fire at a Van Nuys apartment complex.

The fire in the 7400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard was knocked down in about 20 minutes. The two injured individuals appeared to have suffered smoke inhalation and possible burns, according to the fire department.

The fire was contained to one unit on the second floors of the four-story apartment.

Details about the fire and victims were not immediately available.
