Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire that broke at a commercial building in Covina Saturday morning, officials said.
The fire was reported just after 8:30 a.m. at a one-story building in the 1000 block of Edna Place, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
According to Covina police, there is evidence that this structure was a marijuana grow house.
Images showed large plumes of smoke shooting into the sky behind a game of football at Kahler Russel Park.
About 75 firefighters knocked down the blaze at about 10:30 a.m., LACFD said.
Officers remain at the scene, but the building is still unstable from the fire so they are assessing the situation.
No injuries were reported.
