A judge denied a bid by the ex-girlfriend of Mark Salling to administer the late "Glee" star's estate but said she could try again later.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cowan issued his ruling on Roxanne Gorzela's petition Wednesday through his clerk. Cowan stated in his decision that Gorzela had provided "insufficient" evidence to support her request but said she could bring another petition.
Neither Gorzela nor her lawyer, Erin Dixon, appeared in court.
According to Gorzela's court papers, the amount of assets in the estate has not yet be ascertained.
"(Gorzela) requests that she be appointed with limited authority (and) that she not have authority to take possession of money or property without a court order," Gorzela's court papers state.
Gorzela maintains she is owed $2.7 million stemming from a settlement she reached with Salling after accusing him of forcing her to have unprotected sex in 2011.
Salling, 35, was known for his role as Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the television series "Glee." In December 2015, he was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. Salling faced between four and seven years imprisonment after pleading guilty but died Jan. 30 after committing suicide by hanging prior to his sentencing.
