A man was killed and a child wounded Thursday near a park in La Habra.
The shooting was reported about 2:50 p.m. near El Centro Park, which is in the 300 block of East Erna Avenue, according to La Habra police.
Arriving officers found a man in his mid-30s with a gunshot wound to his body and a juvenile with a gunshot wound to a foot, police said.
Both were taken to hospitals and the man was later pronounced dead, police said.
The age and gender of the juvenile were not immediately available.
