A bird struck a high-voltage power line at Los Angeles International Airport Friday morning, affecting at all terminals, an airport spokeswoman said.
LAX and LA Department of Water and Power workers restored full power to the airport after the approximately 6:47 a.m. incident, according to spokeswoman Amanda Parsons. Baggage and conveyance systems were affected.
No flights were impacted, Parsons said.
Power surged, then went out for about 10 seconds, Parsons said.
"Since that time, crews have been going terminal by terminal to manually reset baggage and conveyance systems. The impact has been minimal," she said in an e-mail.
Systems were gradually restored, in a proecess that ended at about 10 a.m., Parsons said.
