Life Connected: SoCal Teen Starts Charities for Congo
Saddened by the disparity in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a Southern California teenager decided her efforts should be spent on helping those less fortunate. She decided she wanted to help and started a cookie business and made thousands of dollars to buy 10 computers for people in the Congo. She recently started making hair ties with those proceeds going to the Congo, in addition to opening her bakery website. Lucy Noland reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.
